The front tower bar is designed to improve roll stiffness by connecting the left and right suspension upper mounts to two points on the vehicle body, at the rear of the engine bay. The main section is manufactured from elliptical-cross-section hollow stainless steel (t = 1.5), and the reinforcing mounts are also made of stainless steel (t = 3) to ensure sufficient strength. This is particularly effective against body torsion and lateral compression.
