Exceed SSD suspension system:
Extensive development spanning over five years has yielded the Exceed Japan Short Stroke Damper coilover system. Designed as a streetable race-spec coilover system, while no compromise to outright performance was accepted, factors that would also improve ride quality and durability were fully maximized.
Pillowball upper mounts are standard equipment on every Exceed SSD coilover system , and on strut-type applications – camber adjustment is also built in.
Height adjustment is adjustable independently from spring pre-load by changing the position of the lower mount in relation to the fully threaded shock body. Due to the nature of short stroke dampers, extensive lowering is possible – this allows for complete control over suspension geometry, especially when fitting unusually large wheel/tire combinations. Please note that on certain applications, the original/stock ride height will no longer be possible.
Research and development for US road and track conditions were done by BattleCraft for Exceed Japan, on our own track cars. Extensive testing has allowed us to offer Japanese quality that is optimized for use in the USA.
About Exceed Japan
Exceed Japan was established in 2015 by Yasutaka Shimomukai, the culmination of over a decade in the automotive industry and extensive racing experience. Having spearheaded product development projects for many Japanese companies, Yasutaka began developing his own line of aerodynamic and suspension products. Without the need to appeal to the largest possible market – he was able to develop products without any compromises, durable performance being the only concern. Like many founders of tuning companies in the greater Osaka region, Yasutaka started driving on the highways that circle Osaka City as a former member of No Good Racing. From that point on his passion for driving grew, extending to wheel to wheel racing and time attack competitions all over Japan. Exceed Japan products were introduced to the North American market in 2016, and can be seen utilized in many highly competitive track cars, as well as daily driven street cars.
